That’s what I posted on LinkedIn at the weekend. But what is Bambu GO? Why are we launching it? And why should you care?

This isn’t an advert. Buy it. Don’t buy it. It’s all good. But after 7 years at Bambu building robo-advisors, I can tell you this:

90% of financial institutions cannot build their own robo-advisor.

They don’t have:

  • The budget;
  • The knowledge;
  • The tech;
  • or the team.

What most small and medium financial advisors, banks, and asset managers need is their own version of Betterment, WealthFront, Nutmeg, and Stashaway (insert leading B2C robo-advisor in the country you live).

But the reality is that building one of these from scratch takes a cast of hundreds or a budget of millions.

And that’s simply not attainable. So they are stuck.

And I know this because I have spoken to hundreds of them.

“I just need a simple robo-advisory journey for my clients that I can afford”.

 

They can’t pay millions of dollars or hundreds of thousands, or sometimes even thousands. They want to serve their customers and win new customers. But how?

It is what we have been working on for the past few years. We use all the knowledge we have gained building big enterprise custom projects. We then distilled that down to a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product, and voila!

We started the journey of building Bambu Go 3 years ago. To say it has been a journey is an understatement.

The output is obvious and simple. But to get there we’ve had to spend years learning how to deliver it. How to make it instantly deployable, yet unique enough for each business. The magic is that it’s a drag-and-drop product:

  • Which investment products?
  • How many risk questions?
  • What are your brand colors?
  • How many goals?
  • Which portfolio settings?

You literally drag and drop, and publish. You get a URL you can send to new and existing customers, and just like that, you are in the 21st century. We have shown early versions to many customers. Lots of love for it but we have never managed to ship it properly. But now we do.

This first release is still only Version 1 which stops at the transactional part, but that will be added very soon. The initial version is still a huge step and will be able to scale your business.
